FTI Performance Introduces the 4L80E Transmissions and Transmission Kits

 

October 2025 (DELAND, FL) FTI Performance adds the 4L80E transmission application into the product line. FTI provides options of just the 4L80E transmission or creating a complete kit, which includes a 9.5” SRLS4 torque converter, dipstick, and Red Line Oil ATF. With a higher torque capacity compared to other overdrive units, the FTI 4L80E transmissions and transmission kits are the perfect solution for your GM builds.

 

This 4L80 transmission more and higher quality cores on the market. The 4L80E is considered one of the strongest overdrive transmissions available. Its capability to handle substantial horsepower and torque make it an excellent choice for performance engines. The 4L80E is electronically controlled which allows for precision transmission control and adaptability making it an easy fit for both street and track. Being equipped with the additional overdrive gear, the robust 4L80E provides additional fuel economy and drivability for street driven applications. Sharing many similarities with its race proven counter-part TH400, the 4L80E is durable and robust making it a reliable choice for performance applications.

 

A customer has a choice of just ordering the Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 4L80E transmission to plug into their existing combination. Or our customers can order a transmission kit which will include the SRLS4 torque converter, dipstick, and Red Line Oil automatic transmission fluid. The Street Racer Lock up converter is a 9.5” billet lock up converter which offers unbeatable performance and reliability for the weekend warrior.
